What you can buy in Lahore under the scheme
25 Aug 2026 · 8 min read · Rules as of 17 Mar 2026
House up to 10 marla / 2,720 sq ft, flat up to 1,500 sq ft, price that fits a PKR 10 million loan at 90% LTV. Plots alone do not qualify.
If the goal is to purchase on the open market in Lahore, three published constraints matter more than the brochure: purpose, size, and the PKR 10 million loan cap.
Purpose — what the loan may finance
- Purchase of a completed house or flat.
- Construction on a plot you already own.
- Purchase of a plot only if construction is financed with it.
- Not a standalone plot. Not renovation or expansion.
Size
- House: up to 10 marla / 2,720 sq ft.
- Flat: up to 1,500 sq ft covered area.
- Smaller units are allowed. There is no useful “minimum marla” in the scheme text.
Price math
At 90% LTV, a PKR 10 million loan implies an indicative property price near PKR 11.1 million before stamp, CVT, registry, and society transfer. In 2026 Lahore that usually means a small flat, a 3-marla house on the periphery, or plot-plus-construction — not DHA Phase 5. Always recompute from the asking price; sellers round up.
Authority approval is also not a single SBP “must be LDA” clause anymore. The August 2026 housing-finance regulations removed the old explicit permission-from-authorities disbursement sentence. Banks still take legal opinions. Treat LDA/RUDA/PHATA lists as public facts, not as a named bank’s promise.
